A large man's ring in gold, set with Golconda diamonds and a central cabochon ruby.
This ring was probably made for a sultan or prince of the Deccan courts. Many Deccani paintings depict imperial personalities like Sultan Ibrahim 'Adil Shah II and Sultan 'Abu'l Hasan Qutb Shah, and even religious authorities, wearing such large rings as this one.
